Hello all.
Its been a week since my last update. I was wondering how to start to plunge into the vast topic , 'Various professions '. What I want to do is not only introduce the various professions in the world, but also whether is this what you want to do.
Any where in the world , especially developed and developing countries, children are forced to study and take up many professions which they hate but still do. Any creation or ideas arises when there are less restrictions. In the olden days you had an option of doing what you want, unless its a dictatorship or autocracy. If your father was farmer and you had no interest in farming but wanted to be a soldier or smith you were allowed to do it or at least be apprentices and then further tested.
This freedom is restricted, either you are not informed about your choices at the correct age or forced to do something else.
For example , during my high school time every parent wanted their child to be either a doctor or an engineer. A person with a science degree or geography degree was not considered with any future. The result, engineers are clerks in banks and other various offices, anything other than engineering field. Well why did they waste their time and money if it was to be a clerk.
So my advice, decide what you want to be and be it. Some of us are forced by circumstances to do something they dont want. I will say its never late to get an education. You can learn and are learning even when you are old. You learn about the happiness of seeing your loved ones grow or the pains of old bones. Remember you are always learning. And never be ashamed to learn or relearn things.
My professor once asked me whats the difference between knowledge and education?
You are educated about things like there are different colors and two colors make another but you gain knowledge only once you see and experience them. One is the process of gaining information and another the skill acquired through experience. So you can be educated but still be ignorant.
Be what you want. You studied to be an engineer and want to be a cook then be it. Always nurture your imagination and be still practical. A great man, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, once said,
Never be afraid to dream, if you have the will and determination you will be living your dream.
Thank you for following and reading this.
