Late Posts

I am happy to say that I am now employed. That is the reason for my delay in post.
I am not an avid blogger that's another problem.

I will try to do at least on post per  fortnight. No guarantee !
I will try to give career advice as I can try.

So hope and wish all luck to all those who search for a Job or a career path.

I have been a person with lot of wishes that where different.
I wanted to be a scientist and a writer of  fantasy fiction.
Both are like other end of spectrum. One deals on fact and proof, other deals with imagination and fantasy.

Well you see , all wishes are different but not impossible.
and now what am I ? I am an application engineer.

Didn't attain both, YET!

There is still time.
I am now a writer (atleast writes blogs :D)
I am half researcher (Did post graduation and have a thesis in hand)

Still in Twenties ( even though its late).

So see.. Be positive and be Happy!!

All the best!

What to be

Sorry for the late post.
Was busy with life .
:)

Everyone faces this question in your school time ," So, What do you want to be when you grow up?".
When we are in primary we say we want to be a policeman or some action hero or even a Pokemon master ( that was the cartoon am familiar with). Some want to be a doctor or engineer and be one and I am happy for them.  But you are small and are only aware of a limited professions and that too ones you are interested in.
Then time passes, you grow up so do your aim. From being a doctor you change to want to be a cardiologist or pediatrician.Or from being a teacher to college or high school teacher. You become specific as your knowledge increases. Then it becomes time to prepare for your entrances or SATs or even to drop out of school. You go with the flow, but a few go against and succeed.

So , WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE?

I will say do what you love.

Do you love to be outdoors or indoors?
Do you love to talk or not?
Do you love science or arts?
Do you love to travel or not?
Do you love to help others or yourself?

What do you love and are you strong in it?
These are few of the questions you have to answer.

Also be sure u love something not just be infatuated, like I saw Pirates of Caribbean and I want to be a pirate (DUH! Not practical, especially with our technology).
Be sure of what you want to be. Its not a joke you know. When we are kids everything is good and we see everything through a tinted glass. But life is far from that.

On one hand we want to live our dreams and other be practical.
Is there a way to do both?
Social obligations are one of the main hurdle you have to face in life.
In most part of the world if you are female then there is an limit to your dreams.
Especially in India, you have to start a family by atleast your late twenties.
Then finance another hurdle.
All I will say is that you are never old to live your dreams.

All ways keep your dreams alive in one way or another.

Hello

Hello all.
Its been a week since my last update. I was wondering how to start to plunge into the vast topic , 'Various professions '. What I want to do is not only introduce the various professions in the world, but also whether is this what you want to do.

Any where in the world , especially developed and developing countries, children  are forced to study and take up many professions which they hate but still do. Any creation or ideas arises when there are less restrictions. In the olden days you had an option of doing what you want, unless its a dictatorship or autocracy. If your father was farmer and you had no interest in farming but wanted to be a soldier or smith you were allowed to do it or at least be apprentices and then further tested.
This freedom is restricted, either you are not informed about your choices at the correct age or forced to do something else.

For example , during my  high school time every parent wanted their child to be either a doctor or an engineer.  A person with a science degree or geography degree was not considered with any future. The result, engineers are clerks in banks and other various offices, anything other than engineering field. Well why did they waste their time and money if it was to be a clerk.

So my advice, decide what you want to be and be it. Some of us are forced by circumstances to do something they dont want. I will say its never late to get an education. You can learn and are learning even when you are old. You learn about the happiness of seeing your loved ones grow or the pains of old bones. Remember you are always learning. And never be ashamed to learn or relearn things.

My professor once asked me whats the difference between knowledge and education?
You are educated about things like there are different colors and two colors make another but you gain knowledge only once you see and experience them. One is the process of gaining information and another the skill acquired through experience. So you can be educated but still be ignorant.

Be what you want. You studied to be an engineer and want to be a cook then be it. Always nurture your imagination and be still practical. A great man, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, once said,
“Dream, Dream Dream
Dreams transform into thoughts
And thoughts result in action.”

Never be afraid to dream, if you have the will and determination you will be living your dream.

Thank you for following and reading this.

Disclaimer

I will like to start by saying that I come from India, Asia and I will be talking about the professions and their division according to how I am familiar with it. In simple words, football in my country means soccer in USA. So do keep that in mind while you read.
I come from an engineering background and I stopped studying Biology in my high school, my medical professional list will be mostly googled(as if others are not :D)and  guess work. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong,
I am not a supercomputer or divine entity, so mistakes will be common. Feel free to point out my mistakes. I will always welcome help.
Thank you all for your patience.

Most of the materials will be from internet and some from my experience.
Google is my main source. So courtesy Google.

This will be a weekly update but some weeks you wil be lucky some weeks not so..
So see youu,.

P.S: I failed in economics in my school days so i don't like it ( feeling almost like hate) only subject i ever failed but still i will do my level best in that field. I felt I should be honest :)

Introduction

For a few years I have been siting at home idling away time and looking for opportunities(as I say , my family sees it as wasting time). I had an aim but somewhere I lost my way. I wondered where and when this happened.
I started to look back the way I took and analyzed all my decisions .
What if I had done that? or this? studied that or this? where did I go wrong?
I have been lucky to get a wonderful education. I am a post graduate in engineering from my country's top most institute. But sometimes I even started to blame my education. why? because if I didn't have this much education then may be I wouldn't be sitting at home and wasting my time.  I wouldn't be too proud to do some jobs which now due to my education I consider myself unacceptable and a shame to my education.See now education is the villain.

For so many jobs I applied I have been rejected as I was overqualified or inexperienced.
Hey, without someone employing you how will you get experience. After hearing this for couple of years I started to feel and think that I am a reject and started blaming my wonderful education. Oh let me tell you jealousy is also a thing you have to look out for . As the adage goes 'An idle mind is devil's workshop', you start to feel jealous of your friends (who did the right thing at the right moment). Jealousy turns to irritation then it turns to hate and their goes your friendship(Bye bye friend!). You start to withdraw from everyone, even your family.
Thankfully I woke up before all this.

I am writing this blog to those who have experienced this and overcome and to those still in it and to all the others who never went through this,  I pray that they never go through this.

Some people might compare me to Marie Antoinette ( the queen who was falsely attributed to saying,"Oh, no bread indeed. Then let them eat cake" ) as nearly half the world have no formal education or even primary  and I am crying because I have post graduation and no job. But , to them I say , 'I didn't ask you or force you to visit this blog. please feel free to click the next blog tab with my compliments and well wishes'.

This is to all those young minds wondering what to do how to do and when to do. I will try to inform you on the vast number of professions available in the world. make a good choice
ALL THE BEST!

P.S: I would have preferred title to be  Intro but, hey this is educational site
